About the Event
The Whitlam Institute is situated in the historical colonial buildings of what was the Female Orphan School. Later it became the Parramatta mental hospital. The site includes the oldest 3 story colonial structure in Australia and is situated on the banks of the Parramatta River adjacent to James Ruse Drive (access is via Victoria Road). Guided tours of the site are included and the old boiler room now offers a fine lunch time menu. The Institute will provide tea, coffee, scones jam and cream prior to the site tour. This event will be Pay As You Go. Cost of $23 per head includes morning tea and historic site tour. There is a $12.50 parking charge per vehicle. Cost of lunch depends on individual choice.
